Built in 1592 by Maharaja Man Singh, Amber fort is one of the most famous forts among the other forts in Rajasthan. Travel freaks consider this fort in their Jaipur sightseeing tour. It is famously known as Amer palace, situated in Amber, 11 km away from the heart of Jaipur city. It was built in the middle of the 16th century using marble, red sandstone, and pastel tones of Maotha Lake, adding beauty to the fort. The UNESCO World Heritage Site is a significant place among India’s Ministry of Tourism’s "17 Iconic Tourist Destinations”, and it's at the top of the "Hill Forts of Rajasthan” cluster.
Amber fort represents the architectural styles of Rajput and Mughal which are rare designs. As a result of this, many kings and rulers of that era made Amber Fort their prime destination to visit the place. Though the fort looks magnificent, it has ancient construction with numerous palaces, halls, beautiful gardens, courtyards, massive gates, walkways, and painted walls. It also features an essential harvesting and drainage system. It is enough for the visitors to stop by here and get more glimpses of the fort. The Indo-Islamic style is an attraction for the audience.
History
Though the final construction was in 1592, before that, the fort had constant renovation during the Rajput ruler region. Later the descendants of Sawai Jai Singh and Raja Man Singh gave the last touch to the citadel. For the settlement of the Amber, Alan Sign was the first to build the fort in 967 CE and was the ruler of the Chanda clan of Meenas, which is a pleasant view to look forward to in the coming year.
The other forts - Jaigarh Fort and Nahargarh Forts, were constructed near the Amber Fort by Sawai Jai Singh and Sawai Jai Singh II. For safety purposes, an underground tunnel connects Amber Fort and Jaigarh Fort. The Hindu- Islamic style of architecture embossed on the fort’s construction with evidence of Rajput and Mughals styles.

The doorway consists of Lord Ganesh-related artwork (The Elephant-Head God). Opposite it lies the Sukh Mahal (The Hall of Pleasure), where Kings used to rest with their queens.
